This contract is entered into between Wrestling Association of
Arlington d/b/a/ The Hilton Arlington Lone Star Duals (the Promoter)
and the ______________ HS wrestling team (the Institution).
Whereas, the
promoter is hosting the wrestling event known as the Hilton
Arlington / Cliff Keen Athletic Lone Star Duals on January 5 & 6,
2007, to be held at South Grand Prairie High School, Warrior
Coliseum, in Grand Prairie, Texas;
Whereas, the Institution desires to compete in the above
described wrestling event; and,
Whereas, the parties
represent that they have the authority to bind their respective
organization(s);
In consideration for the following, the parties agree
that:
1.
Eligibility and
rules will be those of the National Federation of State High School
Associations / University Interscholastic League (Texas). 15 boys
weight classes (180# is the additional class) and 10 (Texas High
School/ UIL) girls weight classes. A JV tournament will also be
held.
2.
Wrestling
officials will be from multiple / various Division I athletic
conferences, along with TWOA (Texas Wrestling Officials Assoc.)
3.
The promoter shall
furnish and provide the institution the following:
a.
$58 team room rate
at Hawthorn Suites (817) 640-1188.
b.
Transportation
between the host hotel and the DFW Airport (if requested).
c.
A minimum of 5
team duals (boys), with a maximum of 9. Girls are double elimination
in an individual competition).
5. The institution shall furnish and provide the
promoter the following:
d.
Requested
information for the event program - 1/2 page (81/2x11). May be done
on the website (www.lonestarduals.com)
or directly to Aurelia Green (aurelia@onlineintl.com). (817)
261-7690 for questions. The other ½ page is available for a
discounted rate of $100 ($150 less 33%).
e.
Team travel
information (Flights/dates/airline/numbers/names/travel contact
phone numbers) to both the host hotel and the promoter by Dec 15th
if transportation is requested. Rooming needs to the hotel ASAP.
f.
Anticipated
competing wrestler names to the promoter by December 1st
for computer entry. Please include any anticipated extra wrestlers.
g.
Entry fee of $200
for boys / $100 per girls team or $10/girl deadline Dec 1st.
Entry fee is $150 / team or $10 /wrestler for JV.
h.
2 table workers during
team competition to ensure accurate information.

The institution agrees to be
financially responsible for damage(s) resulting from conduct of
its respective event participants.

Contract deadline October 1st.
The institution will pay the promoter a forfeiture fee of $500 if
the institution cancels its participation in the event after
October 1st.
