HS Weightclass
Example:
All, below is an example for weigh ins using the 119 pound weight class. To qualify for 119 on Friday, you can weigh 122. To qualify for 119 onSaturday, you can weigh 123. The two pound growth allowance took place on January 1st, so technicallyyou are getting one pound extra on Friday and two pounds on Saturday.
For bumping up to 125, the wrestler must weigh at least 114.1 on bothdays. Thus, if a wrestler weighs in at 114.1 on both days, he is
qualified for 119 and 125.
Also, FYI, the minimum weight for the 285 pound weight class remains at214. It does not increase with the weigh allowance. I hope that clears it up. If not, I can be reached by phone at972-995-9045. Regards,Dan Joseph
